### Prerequisites and permissions

Accessing, creating and maintaining Document subtypes requires specific basetype security permissions to be configured in Highstage.

For any user to be able to administer Document subtypes, they must be assigned with [TrustRead], [TrustModify], and [TrustCreate] permissions on the basetype `ts_subtype`.
